Frequently Asked Questions

About Our Services

1. What is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)?

ABA is an evidence-based approach that uses positive reinforcement and data-driven strategies to teach new skills and reduce behaviours that may impact a child’s development. It is commonly used to support children with autism and developmental delays.

2. What does early intervention mean?

Early intervention refers to supports provided to young children (typically 0–6 years) who have a developmental delay or disability. The goal is to give them the best start in life by building foundational skills during the most critical developmental period.

3. What kind of professionals deliver ABA?

Our programs are designed and overseen by qualified Behaviour Analysts and delivered by trained ABA therapists or behaviour technicians under close supervision.

4. Do you only work with autistic children?

No. While many children we support are on the autism spectrum, we also work with children who have developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and other behavioural or learning challenges.

Accessing Services

5. How do I access services – what is the booking process?

It’s easy to get started! Simply book a free discovery call through our website. After the call, we’ll email you an enquiry form to complete. Once we’ve received your form, we’ll be in touch to discuss next steps and schedule your child’s initial consultation.

6. Do I need a diagnosis to access ABA services?

Not necessarily. Under the NDIS Early Childhood Approach, children aged 0–6 can access supports without a formal diagnosis if there are concerns about their development.

7. Do you offer in-home, clinic-based or community services?

Yes. We offer a range of service delivery options depending on your location, your child’s goals, and what best supports their development.

NDIS and Funding

8. Are your services covered by the NDIS?

We are not a registered NDIS provider, but you can still use our services if your child’s plan is self-managed or plan-managed. Our supports are aligned with NDIS categories such as Improved Daily Living and Capacity Building, and we provide all the necessary invoices and documentation to help you claim through your plan manager or the NDIS portal.

9. What if my child doesn’t have an NDIS plan yet?

We can guide you through the NDIS access process and help you prepare the necessary documentation to apply for early childhood supports.

10. How do I use my NDIS funding for ABA?

Your child’s NDIS plan will include goals. We help align our ABA services with those goals and provide progress reports, session notes, and invoices for plan-managed, NDIA-managed or self-managed funds.

11. Can you help with NDIS progress reports and reviews?

Absolutely. We provide regular reports with data on your child’s progress to support plan reviews and demonstrate the effectiveness of ABA interventions.

Program & Session Information

12. How many hours of ABA does my child need?

This depends on your child’s individual needs, goals, and current level of functioning. We create personalised programs which may range from a few hours per week to more intensive support.

13. How is progress measured?

We use data collected during each session to track your child’s progress. Programs are regularly reviewed and adjusted based on this data and your feedback.

14. Will I be involved in my child’s program?

Yes! Parent and caregiver involvement is a key part of effective ABA. We offer training, regular updates, and strategies to use at home and in the community.

Other Common Questions

15. Is ABA safe and ethical?

Yes. Our team follows ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and NDIS Practice Standards. We use positive, child-centred, and consent-based approaches.

16. What ages do you work with?

We primarily support children aged 0–7, but may also provide services to older children depending on their needs and NDIS plans.

17. How long will my child need ABA therapy?

This varies from child to child. Our goal is to build skills that help your child become more independent and participate in everyday life, and services may change over time based on progress and goals.
